Balkan Energy Company signed a 20-year contract power purchase contract with the Ghana goverment. Under the Agreement, Balkan Energy will equip, repair and commission the Osageffo barge-mounted power station.  Once operational it will be connected to Ghana's national power grid, install fuel storage tanks and build housing, roads and other infrastructure needed to operate the barge.
The previous Ghana Minister of Energy Joseph Kofi Adda and Balkan Energy CEO Phil Elders are shown signing the agreement.

BEC announces that ProEnergy Services International, Inc. of Sedalia, Missouri U.S.A. (www.proenergyservices.com) has been selected by Balkan Energy to be the prime contractor for the start-up and commissioning of the "Osagyefo" power generation barge in Effasu, Ghana.

Balkan Energy Company signs a Letter of Intent with the Albanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy to provide a thermal power generation plant for Albania.
