Overview
Balkan Energy Company LLC (BEC) is a private energy company focused on the production of power generation in Eastern Europe. The Company brings solutions through private investment groups to developing countries with critical energy issues. BEC’s long-term strategy is to provide power and help gain economic security.
The senior management of Balkan Energy Company has been responsible for many successful power generation projects throughout the world. Among these are the following:
- 110 MW barge-mounted diesel power project in Guatemala. Currently in successful operation.
- 105 MW BOT diesel power project in the Batangas Province, Philippines for the National Power Corporation. Currently in successful operation.
- 110 MW BOT diesel power project in Subic Bay, Philippines. Currently in successful operation.
- Led the successful and profitable deployment of nine reconditioned 30 MW power barges that were acquired from the Philippine government into an IPP project in Nigeria.
Other successful international power projects have been located in Haiti, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Sierra Leone, Ireland and the European Balkan Region. A "fast track" power station was also successfully installed in Iraq in August, 2003.
Balkan Energy Company provides full service electrical power solutions. Our services span the spectrum from a turnkey financed project to addressing specific and immediate needs. We also provide solutions for BOT and BOO power projects. Our project management service includes the following:
Phase I – Mobilization, Needs Assessment, Financing
Phase II – Engineering, Procurement, Construction
Phase III – Training, Operation, Maintenance
We also offer immediate solutions to specific and crisis needs, which will be simultaneous with the longer-term turnkey project requirements. Our solutions are customized based on the situation. We develop a specific approach based on a detailed assessment of the needs.
Balkan Energy Company works with a network of alliance businesses which collectively provide power solutions. The individuals at these businesses have a history of working together to solve urgent electrical power needs. These solutions include engineering, technical support, project management, equipment manufacturers and distributors, freight, logistics (personal and equipment) and security.
